Comfortable clothing for stretching and moving. A yoga mat. A towel for sweat. Water. If you don't have a mat you can borrow one at the studio. If you forget your towel, we have towels for rent. If you forget your water, we have water bottles for sale.
We are warm (not hot). We keep the temperature at about 80 degrees. This temperature invites the body to flow with more ease as we begin to move. After a few minutes of moving, we begin to cultivate internal heat, and we work with this personal heat for the rest of practice. We don't have showers.
We're in the city. We encourage you to walk or bike to the studio. If you drive, there is plenty of street parking (meters), parking lots and garage options near us. Give yourself extra time to find a spot.
We have cubbies in the lobby (outside the yoga studio) for your belongings. This includes shoes, bags, phones, etc. Keep your practice area clutter-free. All you need to practice is a mat. Sweat towel and water are optional.
If at all possible start with our Intro to Yoga Workshop. If you feel healthy and ready to move come to our Vinyasa Level 1 class. If you are limited in your range of motion start with Gentle Flow. Talk with our teachers and front desk staff, let them know your situation and ask them for some suggestions.
