There are many reasons I practice yoga, but one in particular is the idea of finding ease and grace within even the most complex and challenging of actions. As a trained classical pianist, I often found the only way to play some of the most difficult musical passages ever written was to find the perfect balance of relaxation and focus. It is this quality I strive to bring into my own yoga practice and teaching. As I continue to cultivate this quality on the mat, I find it easier to apply it to all other aspects of my life, whether it be music, sports, personal relationships, or even basic everyday tasks. I can only hope that my classes leave students feeling inspired to do the same. >> More
