I am from Acapulco, Mexico. I was brought to San Diego when I was 2 years and have lived here ever since. As an immigrant I had to overcome many life challenges. Dealing with anxiety and depression is a huge one. But I can proudly say that anxiety and depression no longer run my life. Yoga has been the vehicle through which I’ve learn to have a healthy relationship with myself. This practice helped me find my authentic self and to fall in love with myself. Still today yoga helps me create balance between body, mind and spirit. Now I use the art of yoga to help others do the same. I like to teach about self-love, self-care, and self-compassion. From that space I invite students to create body awareness to explore their edge and limitations. I also encourage students to focus their awareness to the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting their feelings, thoughts, and body; supporting students to accept were they are at and to grow from there. I honor the spark of divinity, love, and light in all of us.
